How It Works
Use a golf ball placed in the Boomerang's target to select a level
putting surface.
You can easily tell when a surface is level when a ball comes to
rest at precisely 6 o'clock as shown (fig 1).
If the ball does not rest in the centre it is possible that you
have selected a slightly uneven surface.
You can compensate for a slightly uneven surface by twisting one
of the Boomerang's adjustable feet.
When the Boomerang is set up correctly any putt that curves off
line is attributable to the stroke.
Turn the Boomerang over (fig 2) and adjust the height setting
so the ball rolls your desired distance - this can be up to 15ft
but is dependant on surface speed.
Adjust the target depth to suit the height setting you have just
selected.
To do this begin with the target area raised level with the green
baize surface, then, wind it clockwise (clockwise = down), half
a turn at a time as indicated (fig 3).
When a ball that is released from 1-2 inches inside the target
remains trapped in the hole (fig 4) you have the perfect
target depth to ensure that a lag putt will stick and a matchplay
putt can knock it out.
TIP 1: If you find it difficult
to get the ball to stay in the target, then make it a 1/4 turn deeper.
TIP 2: If two balls are repeatedly
trapped in the target, then make the target a 1/4 turn shallower.
To maximise your practice, please putt from a position which is
directly in line with the Boomerang.
We recommend a BoomGolf Putting Mat as they are designed to ensure
the correct alignment on every putt.
The Boomerang is now set up to begin your practice session - enjoy!
To gain the maximum benefits from using
the Boomerang it is vital that you learn how to set it up correctly.
It does not take very long and when set
up properly is the toughest putting test you could hope for!
